CONNECT enables a full dual screen experience where both your endpoint's screens will be utilized according to setting preferences.
Below is a quick guide into how to configure it, and the difference between the 3 options.
In Config Tool; navigate to General-Settings > Video-Systems click edit on your dual screen endpoint and select Dual Screen, Dual Screen Plus (Preview) or Screen Mirroring from the "Dual Screen" dropdown list.
Don't forget to save and deploy!
- Dual Screen - The second screen is utilized when there is a presentation in the call
- Dual Screen Plus (Preview) - The second screen is always utilized. Even without presentation being sent or received. When there is no presentation, the second screen is utilized to show more meeting participants.
- Screen Mirroring - To be used in room layouts where there is a requirement for both screens to show the same video output.
Once this is enabled, all of your green buttons in this room with start with dual screen enabled. Your Join By ID macro calls will be dual screen. You can even initiate a dual screen call from CONTROL whiteglove. All of this will happen automatically.
