Situation:
The SIP 302 message represents a temporary redirection. When a server responds with a 302 message, it informs the client that the resource (e.g., a call or communication) has been temporarily redirected to a different location.
Implementation Details:
As part of ongoing service improvements, we have implemented usage of SIP 302 messages within our management system to enable seamless handover of SIP signaling directly to the media nodes. This enhancement improves the redundancy and stability of the overall service.
Important Note for Customer Call Routing:
If your call routing uses VCS/Expressway or CUCM, it is essential to ensure that redirects are permitted to support this functionality.
