Introduction
The Synergy SKY Platform is a Linux-based container image that can be hosted within most virtualized environments. This article gives a short description of typical hosting environments.
Requirements

* Partitions must contain at least 100 GB in /home
Note: The IP of the host machine must be static
Step-by-Step Guide
- Download the virtual machine image from here.
- SHA256 Checksum for synergyskysuite.ova: XAMPLEB02177F39C3911315EE7EC9EF8C1XAMPLE8E0E8288B82D0683D72XAMPLE
- Click on Create/Register VM in VMWare
- Select Deploy a virtual machine from an OVF or OVA file and follow the instructions.
- Select the new VM from the Navigator bar and click on Edit
- Confirm minimum requirements are met (seen above)
- Once powered up, Log in to VM using the default login: admin / SynergySkyWord01
You will be prompted to change the password; current, new and then confirm.
Change Network configuration to static (DHCP is default) using
sudo suite-networksetup
Known Issue: Currently cloud-utils-growpart is missing from the OVA image, to utilise suite-growdisk run the following command to install the package:
sudo dnf install -y cloud-utils-growpart
Make sure that the disk is being utilized
sudo suite-growdisk
Type the following command to begin installation and follow prompts ("Y" to continue)
sudo suite-refresh; sudo suite-install
Make sure that your IP is correctly displayed
Once completed, a prompt to reboot the server will be displayed
